Digital P2P Reputation System Using Self Certified Cryptographic Exchanges
Source: International forum of researchers Students and Academician
The main reason behind the success Peer-To-Peer (P2P) networks is the anonymity and the utility offered by them to the users. The Client-server security policies implemented in centralized distributed systems is not a feasible solution for P2P networks to store peer reputation information. Though a centralized system does exist, it is prone to Sybil attack that can significantly reduce network performance. Earlier a reputation system that is resistant to Sybil attack was developed that uses Self Certified Cryptographic Exchanges of the peers and between the peers. As a result, a peer's reputation motivates it to cooperate and desist from selfish activities.
