Distributed Denial-of-Services Attack Detection in IEEE 802.11i Wireless LAN

The IEEE 802.11i is one of the much popular wireless local area network standards that are being widely deployed. Much research has been done on the IEEE 802.11 wireless network standard and the standard is known for its insecurity. Several reports have addressed the 802.11-based network vulnerabilities mainly for its lack of security mechanisms for Internet. This paper is based on enhancing the security mechanisms for a specific Internet attack called the Denial-of-Service attack. The attack prevents or prohibits the normal use or management of communications facilities.
