Distributed Secure Routing Protocol to Support Ad-Hoc Mobile Computing
Source: International forum of researchers Students and Academician
Most recent ad hoc network research has focused on providing routing services without considering security. In this paper, the authors detail security threats against ad hoc routing protocols, specifically examining AODV and DSR. In this paper, they presents a new, simple and bandwidth-efficient distributed routing protocol for ad-hoc mobile networks. Unlike the conventional distributed routing algorithms, their protocol does not attempt to consistently maintain routing information in every node. In an ad-hoc mobile network where mobile hosts are acting as routers and where routes are made inconsistent by mobile host's movement, they employ a new associatively-based routing scheme where a route is selected based on nodes having associatively states that imply periods of stability.
