This paper proposes a distributed lightpath protection scheme for diverse routing in multi-domain optical networks with correlated and probabilistic failures. This novel solution jointly considers traffic engineering and failure risk reduction objectives. With growing bandwidth service demands, survivability in multi-domain optical Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) networks is a major concern. Now various pre-provisioned protection schemes have been studied for such network settings. Meanwhile proposes another scheme to find two link-disjoint paths along the same domain sequence.
