Diversified Turns to LANSA for Fast Access to Archives
Source: LANSA
Diversified Information Technologies (Diversified), headquartered in Pennsylvania, USA, provides document storage and record management services to over 450 corporate clients with over 4 million cubic feet of archival records spread over 18 locations. Within a short span of six weeks, the agency replaced a slow Java-based Web site that took two years to develop with a LANSA-based solution that provided clients with faster online access to their documents. Diversified primarily deals with archiving the hard copy of documents and also image documents for the customers. The solution developed by LANSA for Diversified is called WebCIRM for Customer Information Record Management. It allows the customer to search for their documents and very quickly locate the box they need and order its delivery. The archival system integrates with the warehouse management system and keeps a history of the location of each bar-coded box, so the order automatically creates a picking list in the relevant warehouse. With WebCIRM, over 2000 searches a day are conducted and with quicker response, there are lesser support calls and a corresponding reduction in customer service costs. LANSA's easy-to-use and quick to learn feature facilitates its smooth knowledge transfer from LANSA to the in-house development team of the company. LANSA has enabled easy access for archival files of over 17 million records for the large customers of Diversified.
