Documenting Software Architecture, Part 3: Develop the Architecture Overview
Source: IBM
In this paper, learn about the architecture overview, which provides a high-level schematic of the various dimensions of the architecture. The architecture overview provides different views of the developing architecture of a system. Architecture, by definition, helps communicate the developing solution to key stakeholders of the company, though not all views are of interest to all the stakeholders. The CEO might be interested in the enterprise architecture view, while the chief architect may be interested in the IT views (system view and layered view).
