Driving Service Innovation and Profitability: Adoption of TM Forum Standards in OSS

Despite several decades of islands of automation connected through swivel chair integration, CSPs are making real progress toward increased agility and lower cost of ownership in their OSSs. The TMF and its members deserve substantial credit for their development, promulgation and support for adoption and implementation of OSS standards. In the end though, it is up to the CSPs and their technology partners to implement these standards in a complex, high transaction volume environment The objective of this paper is to discuss industry efforts to move toward a more efficient, flexible OSS infrastructure, and the early adoption success and market driven approach of a leading service and resource management company, EMC.
