Dynamic Clustering Schemes of Zigbee Networks in the Presence of WLAN Interference
Source: Institute of Electrical & Electronic Engineers
As ubiquitous networking emerges, ZigBee devices among various communication devices in the PAN have attracted considerable attention in sensor networks. However, ZigBee devices may significantly experience severe degradation in the presence of WLAN. The authors propose dynamic clustering schemes of ZigBee networks in order to avoid the WLAN interference. Simulation results show that their proposed scheme is more effective than the conventional scheme. As ubiquitous networking has recently emerged, sensor networks have received much attention. Several types of communication technologies can be used in sensor networks.
