Echoes: A Collaborative Tagging System for Conversations in the Enterprise

Social media websites like Flickr and del.icio.us enable collaboration by allowing users to easily share content on the web through tagging. To provide a similar advantage to the enterprise, the paper has designed a tagging system called Echoes for audio conversations. The paper is developing telephonic interfaces, where participants of a spoken conversation can opt to archive and share it. The paper has also developed a web-based visual interface that enables annotation, search, and retrieval of archived conversations. In this interface, the paper has focused on visualizing relationships as a social network of users, tags and conversations, which will enable efficient searching and browsing, and more importantly, provide contextualized interaction histories.
