ECI Telecom Embeds Innovation Into Tomorrow's Networks

ECI Telecom wanted to rebuild E-OPS, ECI's carrier-class, multi-function broadband access element management system, to provide the scalability to support modern carrier networks with up to 25 million lines and improve scalability without risk of performance degradation. The challenge was to enhance the manageability of complex carrier networks by migrating to a centralized, consolidated, real-time environment and reduce hardware and system management costs for carriers. ECI Telecom embedded Oracle Database technology into E-OPS, replacing a fragmented architecture with a single, centrally managed environment and embedded Oracle Database Standard Edition One for lighter deployments with up to 10 Network Elements and embedded Oracle Database Enterprise Edition for up to 25 million-line networks.
