Effective Traffic Management in MPLS Using Traffic Flow Analysis Based ACO Algorithm
MPLS is a highly scalable, protocol agnostic, and data-carrying mechanism. Traffic engineering is the major research area in MPLS due to the emerging requirements of MPLS and the internet usage. This paper proposes a traffic flow analysis based Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) algorithm for the real time MPLS traffic management. The ACO is used for identifying real time traffic in the network or at the lowest level in the sub network level. Based on the traffic pattern, the Traffic flow analysis model further classifies the MPLS traffic as three major classes. Using these traffic classes, a reliable transmission methodology which provides traffic free routing in the MPLS networks is proposed in this paper.
