Efficient Routing Tree Construction Algorithms for Multi-Channel WiMax Networks

In this paper, novel routing tree construction algorithms for emerging multi-channel WiMax networks are presented. Both centralized and distributed schemes are explored. Simulation results show the improvement achieved compared to similar networks with a mesh topology. The revolutionary introduction of the concept of wireless mesh networks has caused a great deal of improvement in wireless access technologies. Although there has been an extensive amount of research considering throughput enhancement in single channel and multi channel WMNs, to the best of the authors' knowledge the case of a multi-channel WiMax network has not yet attained discreet consideration.
