EMI Music Enhances Global Digital Transaction Management by Standardising on SAP R/3
Source: Microsoft
To prosper in the digital world, global music company EMI Music is undertaking a major overhaul of its sales and billings model to reflect market evolution. Historically, EMI Music's local companies have used individual Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, but the company is in the process of moving to one standard ERP environment. EMI Music has worked with Accenture to standardise on mySAP ERP running on Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and Microsoft Windows Server 2003. The new system, known internally as Evolve, has been fully implemented in the United Kingdom, where it handles all of the company's physical and digital business. The system reduces costs, increases process efficiency, and enhances EMI Music's ability to respond to the rapid pace of the digital world.
