EMML - Bringing Mashups Closer to Enterprise

Enterprise mashups were a hot topic a few quarters back, due to the promise of delivering user-generated composite application capabilities. Much has been speculated about this new breed of technology components - especially about the potential to reduce the business dependency on IT. Economic recession in the last couple of years has reshuffled the enterprise priorities and impacted the pace of mainstream adoption of mashups. However, the enterprise mashup community has been significantly active during this period resulting in substantial progress in various aspects, enabling the return of the mashups to the limelight as operating conditions improve.
