Engine Informática Offers SAP Software as a Service With IBM

Brazil, Engine Informática offers outsourcing, call center management, multiplatform business solutions and other professional services. Brazil-based Engine Informática specializes in the implementation of SAP ERP solutions. To address the smaller enterprise market, Engine Informática chose to develop the capacity to offer SAP applications as a service. The company created a solution with capacity for 600 concurrent SAP users, on two IBM Power 550 servers connected to an IBM System Storage DS5000, hosted in a data center managed by IBM Global Technology Services. Engine Informática is able to offer SAP solutions at some 50 percent of the typical price per user on in-house systems, and cut overhead costs for a 600-user SAP solution by 50 percent.
