Explaining Differences In Team Performance Does Team Learning Behavior Matter?
Source: University of Twente
The aim of this paper is to investigate the relationship between team learning behavior and team performance. Following Edmondson (1999) the authors regard team learning as a group process comprising several concrete learning behaviors. Although previous research has shown a positive relationship between team learning behavior and team performance, there is a need to better understand the extent of this relationship as well as the distinct team learning behaviors and team performance criteria that might be significant. Partly based on a literature review, four initial semi-structured interviews were held with project managers, resulting in a list of nine performance criteria and 53 possible factors influencing team performance.
