Exploration of Wireless Sensor Networks Technology and Development

Wireless Sensor Network (WSNs) represents one of the most interesting research areas with deep impact on technological development because of their potential usage in a wide variety of applications such as fire monitoring, border surveillance, medical care, and highway traffic coordination. Sensor nodes are inexpensive portable devices with limited processing power and energy resources. WSNs enable new applications and require best paradigms for protocol design due to several constraints. In this paper, the authors have reporting the details overview of WSNs technologies, impotent applications and standards, characteristics of WSNs design and development.
