Now that one has supplemented the business architecture with an information architecture, one can move on to updating the existing infrastructure architecture. This update consists of a validation and a possible realignment of the infrastructure to meet the requirements outlined in both the business and the information architectures. Traditional enterprise architecture designs tend to focus on the creation of the solutions, or development, architecture before the creation or design of the infrastructure architecture, but because most organizations today already have an infrastructure of sorts in place, it seems redundant to design the solutions architecture first, then follow with the infrastructure architecture.
