Father-Son Team Scores A Hit With New Media Business In Atlanta, GA
Source: SCORE
After leaving the Army in 1995, Joe Sr. joined a friend's business as a regional sales representative, a job that required frequent travel throughout the Southeast. Eager to find a more efficient way to work with clients, he asked his son, by then a student at Georgia Tech, if it would be possible to provide sales services via the Internet. They worked together to develop a Web site that impressed Joe Sr.'s friend and his clients. That gave the Regers the idea to start their own company providing Internet and Web-based design services. While working in a computer-oriented business seemed a natural step for them, getting one started was not. While working with the Atlanta SBA office, the Regers were referred to the local chapter of SCORE.
