Frontiers in Web Data Management

In the last decade, the Web has become a primary source of information for many people. Due to its ease and ubiquity, many people first look up pages on the Web whenever they need to look up certain information. The popularity of the Web, however, has brought many interesting challenges. In particular, the ever-expanding size of the Web makes it increasingly difficult to discover, store, organize and retrieve the information on the Web to help users to identify what they are looking for. This paper will briefly go over some of the new challenges in this context and describe the research efforts to address them.
