Generative Techniques to Specialize Middleware for Fault Tolerance
Source: Association for Computing Machinery
Although contemporary general-purpose middleware provide solutions for fault tolerance, these solutions cannot adequately support the diverse failure handling and recovery semantics imposed by vertical application domains without significant manual development effort. These limitations are incurred because general purpose middleware are designed to provide the most commonly required features across multiple application domains. Consequently these design goals force its development to be oblivious to any specific design, deployment- and runtime fault tolerance requirements of a particular vertical domain.
