Geopolitical risk and terrorism are increasing concerns for organizations which operate or aspire to operate across regional boundaries. Moreover, businesses without such global aspirations would also find value in understanding their exposure to the domestic impacts of events played out on the world stage. In operating and running a global business, executives and directors need to be aware of global risks. The factors which drive the vast majority of global risks are outside the control of practically all organizations, and yet the realization of any one of these risks could have a catastrophic effect on any organization's ability to continue operations.
