This paper is a case study in how Momentum provided a solution to Goodmail Systems to meet customer deliverability requirements. Goodmail's CertifiedEmail assures delivery of all opt-in email messages to the inbox with links and images intact. Each CertifiedEmail is sent with a cryptographically secure token that assures authenticity, and is marked in the inbox with a unique blue ribbon envelope icon, enabling consumers to distinguish messages visually that are real and sent from known senders. CertifiedEmail has been adopted by seven of the nation's top ten mailbox providers and 150 government agencies. Goodmail Hosted Imprinted Service (HIS) processes 100 million messages per month with volumes steadily increasing. Goodmail needed an email messaging solution that had the ability to handle a large number of inbound connections to ensure timely delivery and allow for token imprinting. This paper discusses the advantages of using Momentum for Goodmail's business. One immediate benefit was the flexibility and performance of Momentum, tuned to Goodwill's customer needs; their sending habits did not change, but the speed at which emails were processed were vastly improved. Another benefit was that the hardware requirements reduced, even as performance improved. In the bottom line, Message Systems reduced email servers by 40% and simplified message management for the company.
