Grameen Foundation: Improving Lives Through Better Microfinancing

Institutions serving the world's underdeveloped economies through microfinance needed to gain better control of transaction and accounting information in order to generate growth and obtain new funding. The nonprofit Grameen Foundation and IBM teamed to develop Mifos - a scalable, centralized, open-source banking platform, designed specifically to meet the needs of microfinance providers.
