Healthcare Solution Provider Finds Competitive Advantage in Move From SCO UNIX to Windows
Source: Microsoft Tips
American HealthNet wanted to increase ease of use for both the business users and IT staff at its customers; customers neither knew nor wanted to learn SCO UNIX. The company also wanted to expand functionality - both by adding modules for new uses, and by enabling interactivity over the Web. The company recreated its software as Clarus, a native Windows solution using Microsoft .NET technologies. It adopted SQL Server 2005 (64-bit), created a physicians' Web portal, designed an all-new graphical interface, and expanded to 33 modules that manage electronic medical records, clinics, long-term care, home health, and others.
