Helping Nucor Hickman's IT Group Solve a Business Issue of Their Own

Nucor Hickman's IT group, based in Hickman, Arkansas is made up of a rather modest twenty-three members when compared to similar teams in some of the other fifty plus independent and autonomously run divisions that make up Nucor Steel. But with no formal Help Desk and a maintenance contract set to expire in three weeks on the product currently being used to manage software change, this relatively small group was facing a rather sizeable dilemma. Already having a sound idea of the requirements for their new Help Desk solution, the project team worked alongside a team of MKS consultants, converting vision to reality and implementing a solution that addressed the challenges being faced.
