Hewlett-Packard (HP) Case Study: Tokio Marine & Nichido Financial Life Insurance Co., Ltd
Source: Hewlett-Packard (HP)
Using a unique business model which fully assimilated the two businesses of life and non-life insurance, the Tokio Marine Group has grown to become one of the world's leading insurance groups. They wanted to set up a DR framework for the accounting, operation and information systems that included the mail, web and file servers - in order to realize a higher level of business continuity. To achieve automated DR with HP StorageWorks XP Continuous Access, the company needed a data/disaster recovery tool of high availability that can support HP StorageWorks XP20000 Disk Array, and carry out remote replication using a hardware layer. The company standardized the IT Infrastructure along with the adoption of ITIL.
