While the author has been strongly involved and identified with the Leading the Family Business (LFB) program since its launch, there is only one person who can claim credit for being the founding father of this unique educational program: Frank Tilley. A second-generation owner-manager of a Canadian leather-goods company, he started the process that led to LFB I while he was Executive-in-Residence at the International Management Institute (IMI) in Geneva from September 1987 to June 1988.
