Hitachi Electronics Services Co. wanted to strengthen field service management and provide integrated client support and replace disparate IT infrastructure with a single platform. The challenge was to integrate clients' 'Fix and repair' data to produce a complete history of maintenance work, which would assist engineers to deliver informed service and maintain cost-competitiveness and reduce costs by making better use of field engineers. Hitachi Electronics Services Co. lowered IT expenditure by US$16 million (¥1.5 billion) by replacing disparate systems with an integrated field service management platform based on Oracle Field Service and leveraged by 4,000 users to dispatch and track the progress of client jobs.
