Hitachi Storage Management and USP-V and USP-VM Enhancements

In a continuing effort to align storage services with customers' business requirements, Hitachi Data Systems announced the Hitachi Storage Command Suite comprised of sophisticated storage resource management and data protection software delivered via a single, centralized console. Hitachi also introduced enhancements to its industry leading, high-end storage systems; Hitachi Universal Storage Platform V (USP V) and Hitachi Universal Storage Platform VM. Hitachi is bringing products to market faster than other major storage vendors. This announcement represents the fourth high-end enterprise storage enhancements release in the last twelve months, starting with the "Mid-life kicker" Hitachi USP V and followed by the smaller, more affordable Hitachi USP VM and the Hitachi Dynamic Provisioning software.
