HP LTO-5 8Gb Native Storage Networking Architecture

An important component of Quantum's iLayer feature set in the Scalar tape libraries is the storage networking functionality, which provides advanced SAN connectivity functions. Historically, Quantum has provided this storage networking functionality in the Scalar i2000 and Scalar i500 libraries via a Fibre Channel I/O Blade; a Quantum-designed fibre switch that can be integrated into the back of the Scalar libraries.
