HP Reference Configuration for SAS Enterprise Business Intelligence Server: HP Integrity and BladeSystem Servers Running Microsoft Windows Server 2003 - 600 Users

Today's Enterprise customers demand a reliable Business Intelligence platform that can scale to meet their business requirements, HP and SAS together offer such a platform. This Reference Architecture describes a hardware environment that is sized to support 600 SAS Enterprise BI Server users hosted on HP Integrity and BladeSystem servers. This configuration was developed around SAS Enterprise BI Server 9.1.3 with Service Pack 4 running on Intel Itanium 2-based HP Integrity servers and HP StorageWorks Enterprise Virtual Array (EVA) storage system. This reference architecture is based on HP's results in the SAS developed 600 Enterprise BI user test suite as well as real-life customer configurations. The SAS Enterprise BI test was developed by SAS to simulate sample Enterprise BI users' daily activities.
