ILCE Expands Distance Learning Across Latin America With HP Platforms
Source: Hewlett-Packard (HP)
The Instituto Latinoamericano de la Comunicacion Educativa (ILCE) is an international organization, comprising 13 countries throughout Latin America for which ILCE provides a selection of educational services. ILCE required a business technology infrastructure that could provide high performance and flexibility to securely support multiple distance learning programs, with the ability to grow cost-effectively. Based on the recommendations of the Mexico Ministry of Education and following a thorough evaluation, ILCE selected HP Integrity Superdome servers and HP BladeSystem, partitioning the Superdome servers to support a mix of HP-UX 11i, Windows, and Linux operating systems on a single consolidated platform.
