Improving Handoff Call Connectivity in Cellular Network by Predicting its Future Move
Due to the scarcity in radio resources it is required to design a set of intelligent algorithms to effectively utilize the resources. To devise a new admission control policy for cellular mobile network by considering two important QoS parameter in cellular networks are Call Dropping Probability (CDP) and Handoff Call Dropping Probability (HCDP) for Handoff calls and Call Blocking Probability (CBP) for New Calls. CDP represents the probability that a call is dropped due to a handoff failure. HCDP represents the probability of a handoff failure due to insufficient available resources in the target cell. The main objective of this paper is to propose a predictive bandwidth reservation based on the prediction of arrival of handoff call.
