(Inland) which provides electric power service to rural areas, their technology, was facing challenges from an aging infrastructure. Minimal resource utilization which reduced productivity. Lagging in hardware replacement rotation with inflexible system for growth. To overcome these challenges they decided that the Mainline/IBM solution was the best because of cost, support offered and the virtualization management features. The virtualization solution included VM vCenter virtualization software, three IBM System x3650 servers, and an IBM System Storage DS3500 Express. The results of deploying Mainline were optimized performance with greater reliability. Simplified and automated operations, resilient and flexible architecture, increased energy-efficiency with lower TCO.
