Integrating Tivoli NetView for z/OS With the IBM Tivoli Enterprise Portal Server

Tivoli NetView for z/OS provides functions that enable it to participate in TCP socket applications, acting as a client or server. This allows further integration of NetView management capabilities across the mainframe and distributed environments. The IBM Tivoli Enterprise Portal Server (TEPS), formerly called the CandleNet Portal Server, integrates Systems Management data from IBM OMEGAMON XE and IBM Tivoli Monitoring product-specific agents to provide graphical views of this information. The TEPS also allows combining information from various environments onto a single screen view. Situation and policy definitions can be applied against the data to detect significant events, to relate events and activities together, and to invoke automated actions for notification or action purposes.
