Interactive Applications for Communication Throughout the Rail System

SBB is the largest travel and transport company in Switzerland. SBB handles over 306 million passengers and nearly 54 million net tonnes of cargo every year. SBB's aim was to apply a high-performance infrastructural element which would, amongst other things, facilitate access to mobile real-time services. To solve these problems they turned to MATERNA. Use of the MATERNA USSD gateway and applications based on it, the USSD gateway makes it possible to use different network-based functionalities.
