IP Network Increases Capacity and Improves Functionality for High Street Clothing Brand

When a company restructures and office premises are merged, there is almost always a requirement for some form of IT infrastructure development, to ensure that everyone can communicate effectively both internally and externally. Men's clothing brand d2 Trading faced this situation following a business restructure. The company needed to have sufficient communications capacity to support more than 160 staff members immediately. They also needed to support future expansion, eventually adding d2 Trading's warehouse at Kilmarnock and its buying office in London to the network. BT and Nortel provided an integrated IP communications system for d2 Trading. This consisted of a Nortel Communication Server 1000, plus a 48-port Nortel Ethernet Routing Switch 5520 with PoE switch.
