The authors introduce the network architecture which consists of fleets of mobile routers interconnected using the at ad hoc routing protocol and access router discovery protocol. This network backbone provides mobile user with Internet connectivity. They illustrate the usage of mobility support in IPv6 for the network and introduce a Redirect Header for Mobile IPv6 which reduces the overhead of tunnelling by half in the wireless network where bandwidth is scarce. This Redirect Header works for both basic and route optimised mode for the Mobile IPv6. Finally, through numerical evaluations, the authors show that this header aids in reducing the tunnelling overhead.
