ITIL v3 and the Evolution of Service Management

ITIL v3 has just been refreshed to reflect current best practice for service management. CoBIT v4.1 has just been revised and ISO IEC 20000 is undergoing a revision with a proposed part 3 right now. What does all of this mean? It means that IT management is maturing and the increasing requirement for improved service management is driving these changes.
