The Jackson County School Board (JCSB) faces challenges in which they upgraded a program for running a student information educational software package. The software provides access for administrators, teachers, students and parents for everything, because it was running a server that was nearly ten years old - an IBM 820 server - maintenance costs were high. They chose Mainline to overcome these challenges. They recommended an IBM Power i 520 to handle production and application development. As a small database server, the Power 520 Express offers the outstanding performance of the IBM POWER6 processor, the world's fastest chip. This makes it possible for applications to run faster and be more responsive.
