James Madison University Celebrates Its Centennial by Replacing Its HP Servers With Green, Power Efficient Dell Servers
Source: Dell
James Madison University needed to ensure high availability for its Oracle database and PeopleSoft Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, as well as provide reliable desktops and notebooks for students and staff. The university purchased Dell PowerEdge servers, Dell/ EMC storage and Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) software for a redundant, load-balanced environment. Now nearly 100% Dell in its data center, James Madison University also distributes Dell Latitude notebooks and OptiPlex desktops to faculty and resells them to incoming students.
