Jiangmen Education Network System Protects User Access With StoneGate High Availability Firewall and VPN Solution

The primary aim of this case study is to focus on the contribution of StoneGate VPN Solution and firewall application in bringing out effective business solutions and providing greater connectivity amongst various Jigamen's education networks spread all across Southern China. Jiangmen Education Bureau with its head office in Guangzhou, China, established a partnership with the Suntek Group, a well-renowned software development and systems integration services, with a view to make the education system for Southern China more sophisticated and streamlined. The collaboration gave birth to Wu Yi Educational Networks Ltd., which is a much larger education network. It also discusses the various methods through which Stonesoft's Softgate tool helped Wu Yi Educational Networks Ltd. to meet all the business requirements. Some of the most difficult challenges faced by the Education system with the emergence establishment of Wu Yi Educational Networks Ltd. were inter department connectivity issue for which it required a platform which could bring practical solution to this problem, provision of online education facilities to students, network's requirement to control and manage resources, establishment of a secure network for exchange of information, creating maximum availability of network system and implementation of effective firewall system and VPN solution for its large information sharing network. The paper describes various ways in which StoneGate played its part in bringing solutions to not only the above listed challenges but, for many more than these.
