Having fully integrated IT was a top priority for the new KBC organization. After the 1998 merger, the company had to consolidate three separate IT organizations, integrating a myriad of management suites that made up its combined ICT (Information and Communications Technology) infrastructure. KBC embarked on a detailed analysis of 300-400 system requirements which spanned console integration, system uniformity, and automated workflow. Peregrine ServiceCenter, now part of HP software, was selected in 2001 to create a unified system which can deliver global management with local delivery. Leveraging the open architecture of HP software and its IT Service Management (ITSM) principles, KBC has created an end-to-end solution which better utilizes resources through workflow automation, and improved incident and change management.
