Communication is backbone of one's day to day lives. News paper, flyer, telephone, cellular phones, emails, SMS etc. are all part of this backbone. The most recent enhancements to all of these are using "Targeted" approach. The author want to receive right information at right time and Targeted approach is a step towards that, however there is long way to go before this technology matures to strike a balance between the privacy and information that people are willing to make public, explicitly or implied. Biggest challenge is posed by the fact that the privacy requirements of every individual is going to be different and will be dynamic in nature, so one size is never going to fit all.
