Of the few disparities that seem to exist in the project management field nowadays, one of the biggest and more elusive seems to be leadership. All project managers are not automatically great leaders because they took a few courses in critical path schedules, resource planning or objective setting. There isn't a certification for leadership, nor is there a guaranteed development path you can follow to become one. This paper explains some of the similar traits that are common among great leaders. These are traits that will set you apart as a leader and distinguish you from the field of everyone else.
