Leadership Style And Organizational Commitment: The Moderating Effect Of Locus Of Control

The existing management and leadership research has demonstrated separately the effects of leadership style and locus of control on organizational commitment. However, researchers have not yet directly measured the relationship between leadership style and organizational commitment as moderated by follower's locus of control. This paper provides a review of the literature on each of the three constructs: leadership style, organizational commitment and locus of control. The paper then generates the theoretical background suggesting that locus of control may indeed moderate the relationship between leadership style and organization.
