Leading Project Integration

Managing today's global projects requires focusing scarce management attention on diverse topics related to financing and delivering the project amidst cultural differences. New technology, especially modeling tools that foster project integration, offers major potential advantages, along with implementation challenges that also merit managerial attention. This paper describes the key elements of managerial leadership to create the organizational context, provide the key supportive roles, and complete the actions needed to increase project integration and its benefits. The description focuses on background research and a vision of model-based integration for design and delivery of projects.
