Learning to Match XML Schemas - A Decision Tree based Approach

Schema matching, finding semantic correspondences between elements of two schemas, is an essential activity in many application domains such as data mining, data warehousing, web data integration, and XML message mapping. In this paper, a decision tree based approach is presented to match the similarity between two XML schemas. Experimental results reveal that the proposed approach is efficient and reliable in predicting the similarity between two XML schemas.
