Mainframe-Class Availability at One-Eighth the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)

For years, mainframe computers were considered almost the sole practical alternative for the world's most mission-critical computing environments. They have long claimed the industry's best Reliability, Availability, and Serviceability (RAS). Today, with the HP Superdome, organizations have an alternative that features RAS and availability levels equivalent to mainframes, at approximately one-eighth the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) over a three-year period.
